Why Detik Warisan

The workshop difference

One watchmaker, one watch

The same pair of hands works on your piece from the first inspection to the final check. Nothing is passed between technicians.

Written condition reports

Before any work proceeds, you receive a clear written note of what we found. No surprises, and no work done without your knowledge.

Transparent parts records

Replaced components are set aside so you can see exactly what was renewed — and satisfy yourself that the work was genuinely needed.

An unhurried pace

We work at the pace the watch requires, not the pace that suits a queue. Fine mechanical work cannot be rushed without consequence.

Sentimental pieces welcomed

Inherited watches and family pieces receive the same careful attention as high-value timepieces. We understand what they mean to you.

Conveniently located in KL

Our workshop sits on Jalan Sultan Ismail, accessible by LRT and easily reached from across the Klang Valley.

Ready when you are

Bring your watch in for a look

There is no obligation in asking us to take a look. Drop us a message, describe the piece and what you have noticed, and we will suggest a sensible next step.

Common questions

Things people often ask

How long does a mechanical movement service take?
Most mechanical overhauls are completed within seven to fourteen working days. More complex movements, or those requiring sourced parts, may take a little longer. We will give you a realistic estimate when we examine the watch, and keep you informed if anything changes.
Do I need an appointment to bring in my watch?
Walk-ins are welcome during our opening hours. That said, if you would like to sit with us while we assess the piece, a brief message ahead of your visit helps us set aside the right amount of time.
Will you proceed with work without my approval?
Never. After we inspect the watch, we prepare a written condition report and outline what we recommend. Work only begins once you have read that report and given us the go-ahead. You are always free to collect the watch back if you prefer not to proceed.
What brands and types of watch do you service?
We work on a wide range of mechanical and quartz timepieces, from everyday fashion watches to heritage and vintage pieces. If you have a very specialised movement or a brand with proprietary parts, we will let you know honestly whether we are the right hands for it.
How are the service prices structured?
Our listed prices are starting points that cover the standard scope of each service. If additional work becomes necessary — for instance, a worn part that is harder to source — we will discuss this with you before proceeding. There are no hidden additions.
Can you restore a watch that has sentimental value but little monetary value?
Absolutely. Sentimental pieces are among the most meaningful work we do. We understand that the value of a watch is not always reflected in its market price, and we approach inherited and gifted timepieces with the same care we give to any other.
