Our services
Three services, each carried out
with the same steady care
From a full mechanical overhaul to a straightforward battery change, every service at Detik Warisan follows the same unhurried, honest approach.
How we work
Our methodology
A consistent approach across all services
Every watch that comes into our workshop goes through the same intake process: it is logged with a description and photograph, examined under magnification by the assigned watchmaker, and assessed before any work is discussed with the owner.
We do not begin until the owner has received and agreed to a written condition report. This applies equally to a straightforward battery change and a full movement overhaul — because in both cases, you deserve to know what you are agreeing to.

Service one
Mechanical Movement Servicing
A careful, full-service overhaul for mechanical and automatic timepieces. Our watchmaker gently disassembles the movement, cleans each component, replaces worn parts, and re-oils and re-times the calibre by hand. Suited to owners of heritage and everyday mechanical watches who would like their piece to keep steady, reliable time again.
The service covers a complete inspection, a written condition report, and a settling-in check after reassembly. We work at a considered pace and will always talk you through what we find before proceeding.
What is included
- Complete movement disassembly and inspection
- Ultrasonic cleaning of all components
- Replacement of worn or degraded parts
- Re-oiling with grade-specific lubricants
- Multi-position timing machine verification
- Written condition report and service record
- Post-reassembly settling-in check
Service two
Battery, Seal & Water-Resistance Care
A tidy service for quartz and everyday wristwatches, covering battery renewal, gasket replacement, and a pressure check to restore water resistance. Ideal for those who wear their watch daily and would simply like it looked after with care.
Includes cleaning of the case and caseback, fresh seals where needed, and a gentle polish of the crystal. We keep replaced parts aside so you can see exactly what was done.
What is included
- Fresh battery fitted (grade matching original specification)
- New crown and caseback gaskets
- Water-resistance pressure test post-sealing
- Case and caseback cleaned and degreased
- Crystal polished where appropriate
- Replaced parts set aside for your review
Service three
Case, Dial & Strap Restoration
A gentle cosmetic restoration for watches carrying the marks of years of wear. Work may include case refinishing, crystal renewal, dial tidying, and strap or bracelet refitting — always in keeping with the character of the piece.
Well suited to sentimental and inherited watches where preserving the original feel matters most. Each restoration is discussed with you first, and we recommend only what the watch genuinely needs.
What may be included
- Case refinishing (brushed, polished, or combination)
- Crystal renewal where needed
- Dial cleaning and tidying (non-invasive)
- Strap or bracelet fitting and adjustment
- Character-preserving approach throughout
- Discussion before any visible work is carried out

Across all services
Standards that apply to every job
Secure custody
Every watch is photographed and logged on intake. It is handled only by the assigned watchmaker while in our care.
Written authorisation
Work only proceeds after a written condition report has been reviewed and agreed by the owner. No exceptions.
Grade-specific lubricants
Mechanical movements are lubricated with the correct oils for each friction point — not a single general-purpose oil.
Timing verification
All mechanical work is verified on a timing machine before the watch is collected. Readings are recorded in the service document.
Parts retention
Components removed and replaced are kept aside and returned to the owner at collection so the work is fully visible.
No-cost initial assessment
If you choose not to proceed after receiving our condition report, the watch is returned without charge for the assessment.
Pricing
Clear prices, no surprises
All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit and cover the full standard scope of each service. Additional costs only arise when unexpected parts are needed — and always with your prior agreement.
